Regulation (EU) 913/2010 establishes eleven Rail Freight Corridors (RFCs) along European transport axes, with the purpose of increasing competiveness and quality of international rail freight transport.

The aim is to increase the competitiveness and quality of international rail freight transport. 

With the implementation or further development of the six rail freight corridors leading through Germany, DB Netz AG is actively involved in the implementation of the EU regulation.

In order to promote the development of the corridors according to market requirements, regular customer surveys and meetings are held on all corridors.

  • Railway Undertakings Advisory Group (RAG): involving railway undertakings
  • Terminal Advisory Group (TAG): with the participation of terminal operators
