DB Netz AG is examining its route network for congested railway lines.
Pursuant to the procedural instruction of the EBA and Bundesnetzagentur dated 14 November 2016 regarding the definitions of Section 1 of the Railway Regulation Act (ERegG) the application of Sections 55, 58 - 59 of the Railway Regulation Act (ERegG), on 09 December 2016, DB Netz AG declared the section of line
- Route 2630 Hürth-Kalscheuren - Remagen
as congested:
For this section of line, DB Netz AG is carrying out a capacity analysis in accordance with Section 58 of the Railway Regulation Act (ERegG) and will subsequently produce a plan for enhancing line capacity in accordance with Section 59 of the Railway Regulation Act (ERegG).
