ETCS

Defined test scenarios shall be trial tested to formally verify network access compatibility for ETCS relation Erfurt - Halle/Leipzig - developed as VDE 8.2 (German Unity Transport Project, section 8.2).

Generic explanations and important information regarding the chance requests are provided in enclosed document [1].

Enclosed document [2] contains the generic description of the test scenarios, test data and framework conditions.

Zip package [3], which includes the attachment for generic description [2], contains the field tests that must be carried out and completed. Provided that these field tests can be carried out and completed on plant grounds, for example, with formal verification of identical network compatibility, there is no obligation to conduct railway operation field testing.

Zip package [4], which includes the attachment for generic description [2], contains the laboratory tests that must be carried out and completed.

The formal verification shall be provided within the scope of vehicle homologation by the respective national safety authority.
